The Development And Importance Of Worldviews And Moral...

The Development and Importance of Worldviews and Moral Culture When I was a child, my mother and father did not regularly attend church; however, they made sure that every Sunday morning, I caught the bus across town to Sunday school. My parents were shift workers; my mom worked at the hospital during the night shift, and my dad worked at the airport until very late in the evening. Most of my childhood was spent with my older brothers and more often than not, I was left to take care of myself. With that being said, my mom and dad made sure that I grew up knowing and practicing the fundamental values; don’t tell a lie, don’t steal, treat others as you want to be treated, and never cause harm to others. My Sunday school era definitely†¦show more content†¦Worldview and Values Whether one identifies as a Theist, a Naturalist, Pantheist, Polytheist, or Postmodernist, one can have the exact same experience and interpret that experience completely different. It is important to understand ones’ foundation to determine why he or she responded to that particular experience a certain way. Our worldview is often reflected in how we think, believe and react to certain issues such as religion, science, technology, medicine, finances, politics and many other matters. While I certainly wouldn’t describe myself as a radical Theist, I do believe that God is the creator of all, that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son, and that none of us are without sin. With that being said, I would like to state that I make all of my daily decisions are based on scripture and in what God expects from me, but I struggle to be consistent with that. Ultimately, I make my decisions on what I believe to be right at the time. I believe that we are all placed here on this earth for very specific reasons. Sometimes those reasons are not clear, and sometimes they may seem blatantly obvious. I believe each and every person serves a purpose that may for ever be unknown to us. Our beliefs in reality, who we are, why we are here, and how we react, what our values and morals are, makeup each person’s worldview and can further explain decisions that one makes when faced with a moral dilemma. I certainly trust that there

Capitalism Is The Most Influential Economic And Political...

Capitalism is the most influential economic and political system in the world today as it has had a large effect on some of the defining aspects of the world, from abolishing feudal rule as â€Å"feudal rulers were continually forced to turn for loans to their resident burghers†¦ by the way the leaders stood this was completely incompatible with feudal rule†. (Heilbroner, 1992, p. 34) And introducing an early version of economic freedom referred to as the society of perfect liberty by Adam Smith. Capitalism, however is a topic of controversy, and has had many critics in the past and will most likely have criticism in the future, debating its effects on society. In the text Twenty-First Century Capitalism, Robert Heilbroner addresses this and speaks about how capitalism serves as a guide for the actions of both the private and public sectors of life, Robert Heilbroner refers to these as the two realms of capitalism in the text, and argues that they are beneficial but at th e same time dysfunctional for society. By looking at the relationship between political and economic spheres of capitalism there are clear positive and negative effects on society, but by analysing capitalism’s ability to change, free market systems and the revolutionary changes it has brought to the workplace, it is clear to see that capitalism s effects on society have been a positive one. Question: Discuss about the Advertising and Promotion for Integrated Marketing Communications. Answer: Introduction: This report discusses about the Samsungs integrated marketing communication strategies that have been implemented after the battery explosion case of Note 7. The discussion is supported with the analysis of companys communication mix along with the analysis of brand image and awareness. The last part of the report discusses about the recent integrated communication plan of the company. Advertising is the most important part of Samsungs promotion. It is the strategy that is used by this brand for attracting most of its customers. The company uses color schemes in its advertisements in order to attract the customers (Kitchen and Burgmann, 2010). At the time of advertising Samsung galaxy S, the company has used different slogans such as Dont contain yourself. Sales promotion involves the strategies that deal with adding the values with the products to accelerate the sakes of the products. Samsung is the brand that does not focus on sales promotion as such. Some of the strategies for sales promotion is done like providing gifts at the purchase of the phones at the time of occasion. Public relation can be defined as the process of promoting the products with delivering the messages with the help of third party for example, through magazines, journals, newspaper etc. at the time of releasing Galaxy S, the company has took many initiatives in tis direction. The ads have been posted in magazine about the phone delivering messages related to its features (Yeshin, 2012). The company has also made partnership with Google in order to deliver the message related to this phone on Google. It has also been analyzed that Galaxy S was the phone for that the company has made many efforts in advertising. The ads of this phone can be found anywhere such as in magazines, newspapers etc. (Seno and Lukas, 2007). Direct marketing: It is the method that is used to customize the messages for the customers according to their choices (Hackley, 2010). This method helps in making the customer feel important. Samsung uses this strategy to mail the customers whose data is there in the database of the company. The company sends the mails to the target customers who can be converted into buyers easily. The condition in this marketing is that, the company should acquire the data about the customers from different sources. Personal selling can be defined as the process that is required to sell the products personally by the sales executive (Keller, Parameswaran and Jacob, 2011). Samsung is not at all in such activities of personal selling as it is considered as very traditional method of promotion and communication. Samsung do not have its stores that sell only Samsung products but depends on its retailers and distributors to sell its products. Brand image of the company can be defined as how the brand is portrayed in front of the company. It involves various characteristics such as perceived quality, the loyalty of the customers, and association with the brands as well as the awareness of the brand (Ogba and Tan, 2009). Brand awareness is the major part of this section and it is defined as the process of creating awareness about the brand sin the market. Brand awareness analysis provides the idea that how much the customers are well aware and have the idea about the existence of the brand. Brand equity means creating the value of the brands among the customers. The customers based brand equity can be determine by the framework that includes, brand loyalty, brand association. perceived quality and brand awareness which can further be analyzed by using brand awareness pyramid. The above diagram shows the customers based brand equity framework that needs to be analyzed in order to identify the brand image and the equity of the brand in terms of customer views. Brand association: brand association is termed as the qualities that are associated with the brands (Aaker, 2009). Samsung is the brand that is considered as the brand with range of products and associated with many qualities. The above figure clearly mentions the association of the brand. The major association is the services and wide ranges, it has been analyzed that this company has the fastest service and provides the service to the customers without any delay (Amini, Darani, Afshani and Amini, 2012). Other association is availability of the wide range of products. The company offers different products in different price range so it does not consider as the brand of premium customers unlike Apple which is considered as a very high class brand. Samsung is the brand for all but still act as status symbol in terms of some of its products such as Samsung edge smartphone. After analyzing the data, it has been identified that the customers of Samsung has moderate retention rate. This means that it may be possible that they switch to some other brand in case if they get better offers. 58% retention rate of the customers of Samsung suggests that most of the people among the buyer of Samsung sticks to the brand but some of them may switch the brand according to the situation. Perceived quality: Perceived quality from customers perspective is about how customers perceive the quality of the products or how the company makes the efforts to position themselves in the minds of the customers in terms of quality (Hwang, Cho and Kim, 2010). As far as the quality of Samsung is considered, the customers have the image that the product as effective quality that can be relied upon as compared to other brands such as HTC and Nokia. Brand awareness: Brand awareness of the company can determine by the intensity off recall. It is determined by whether the customers recall they logo of the brand at the time when they heard about the products. Samsung is the brand which has moderate brand awareness as when the name smartphone is heard by any of the customers, there are lot more brands other than Samsung that can be recalled by the customers. Keller has given the pyramid model to analyze the brand equity and awareness of the brand. Below is the description of pyramid model for Samsung: Salience: It is the level that describes the question Who are we? from the perspective of customers. It explains that what the perceptions of the customers are when they hear about Samsung. Customers have the perception that Samsung is the brands that have wide range of products with high capability of android technology. Performance and Imagery: This is the second level that is divided into performance and imagery. Performance is about customer service and satisfaction (Magnusson, Westjohn and Zdravkovic, 2011). The customers are satisfied with the image of young style and fun brand. Imagery is the element that describes how the customers needs are met. Customers needs are met with the brands stylish designs and technology. Judgment and feeling: Judgment describes hat this brand has high level of excitement and fun with low level of self-respect as there are wide range of products available. Feeling suggests that the people have high credibility on the brands. Resonance: Resonance is about loyalty. The customers have moderate level of repeated purchase but low level of personal attachment with the brand. Brand meaning: Brand meaning for Samsung is its image I the minds of the customers. As far as the brand meaning for Samsung is considered, it has been analyzed that Samsung aims to project itself as the brand for all and the brand that serves wide variety of products to the customers (Rice and Atkin, 2012). Samsung is the brand from low price to high price models so that it can cover the large customers base as compared to the brand that sell the products to the premium customers only such as Apple.it is the brand with value for money and high effectiveness and awareness. The company is very well known in the world and when the customers head about the smartphones or nay electronic gadget, the company thinks of Samsung as quality brand. IMC strategies of Samsung for brand enhancement: The company has used different tradition tool such as television and newspapers to call off the sales of Note 7 after facing the tragedy of battery explosion (Yeshin, 2012). As the company needs to enhance its brands so some of the integrated marketing approaches has been used by the company: TV ads: The Company has focused on releasing TV ads that provides an overview of the case as well as the safety measures that have been implemented at the time of releasing the new phone that is Samsung Galaxy S8 (Aaker, Kumar and Day, 2008). The ad on television shoes an ostrich that tries to fly and succeeded. This ad shows that Samsung also wants to fly again in the market. Campaigning: the company has focused upon marketing campaigns that are the people about the battery explosion case and also about the safety measures introduced. The new scheme of replacing the note phones has also been launched to gain the trust of the customers back. Conclusion: This report concludes that Samsung is the company that provides wide range of products to the customers. This is the company that is considered to be the company with products that are fun and technological updated. As the company has faced the issue of battery explosion at the time of launching Note 7 it has implemented the strategies of market campaigning with scheme of replacing the phones to gain the trust of the customers. Personal Response Traditional Storytelling

Question: Describe about the Report for Personal Response of Traditional Storytelling. Answer: After reading the book Maybe Tomorrow, I must say that the author Boori Pryor used ancient traditional storytelling in order to express his experiences, views, and ideas in an effective way. Ancient traditional storytelling is considered as a backbone of indigenous culture that is helpful to spread the messages of the author to audience in a proper manner. On the other hand, I come to know that Boori Pryor starts the book with the tragedy of his life. Boori Pryor lost his brother, sister and nephew at the time when he was fourteen years old only. This is an important section of the book for the reason that lots of people face a similar destiny in their life (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). Along with this, after reading the book, I realized that the author demonstrated Aboriginal culture in an effective way. Pryor expressed important facts as well as events related to the culture in a well manner. For case, he talks about the Aboriginal rights, missions, Aboriginal deaths in custody, and so on properly. I also observed that, his voice is very polite, soft, and friendly. Moreover, the writing style of Boori Pryor is very effective, easy, and comprehensible (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). In this book, Boori Pryor tells his own story also but this is not a typical biography of the author. The book describes the career path as well as life story of an Aboriginal in Australia. On the other hand, I also come to know that, there are lots of consequences to this manifestation. It is very fateful that alcoholism was around him at what time he grew up. The author tells that alcoholism as well as suicide was a common factor in the aboriginal culture. It is exceptionally tragic that several aboriginals attempt to adapt to the struggles they confront by consuming extreme alcohol or taking their own life (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). Along with this, I also realized that, most of the part of this book describes his work in schools where he expects to urge understudies to build up a comprehension of and appreciation for Aboriginal individuals and for the area. Boori Pryor trusts that all individuals need and know the importance of their place. Apart from this, after reading the book, I come to know the main purpose of Boori Pryor to write this book. Basically, the purpose of the author is to urge white society to understand truly comprehend where Aboriginal individuals are originating from, and especially the broad ramifications for them of Invasion Day, and to urge Aboriginal individuals to confide in their roots and to perceive the significance of their stories, their social custom, to their individual survival and also to the continued existence of their natives (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). Furthermore, I found that the book is very interesting that gave me bits of knowledge into the world, life and society of Aboriginal Australians. It was astounding to find out that Australia has been occupied by Aboriginals ever since last fifty or sixty thousand years. Moreover, I am truly fond of the way they lived, totally of the land. This is an evolution that flourished for such a large number of years. Also, it was appealing to know the traditions as well as customs of Aboriginal people (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). But, it is disheartening to perceive that within a range of one hundred eighty years, the entire civilization or development of Aboriginals is broken. Along with this, I must say that, after reading this book my sight about the history and the aboriginals has been changed totally. I have such a great amount of appreciation for these individuals and their simple society or culture. A society where young children are taught to respect senior citizens as Boori says that if you would not listen to elders then you will simply die and would not be able to survive in the world. In addition, I believe that it is essential for every one of the general population living in Australia should know this oldest culture and also learn the privileged insights of this awesome land that is called Australia (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). On the other hand, I found that the book inspires the people that happiness is a key of the life. According the author, the people must feel happy about them and also feel happy about the place where they live. Furthermore, the author says that people must know the place where they live and to know that place it is essential to ask the people who lived there for a long duration (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). Moreover, the author expresses that the Aboriginal people are the people who lived there the longest. So, in the words of the authors, the people have the key that can open the way to the fortunes of this land. I believe that the author made a lot of efforts in order to improve the awareness of the people about the Aboriginal culture in an effective and a comprehensive manner. In addition to this, I also realized that there are some weak points of this book. For case, the main failing is that in this book the author described the spiritual side of Aboriginal culture in brief. Moreover, I found that the author jumps from one topic to the other immediately that does not make it comfortable to read. Along with this, the author tells that three of his siblings committed suicide but he did not depict the reason behind the suicide. It is very regrettable that in this book Boori Pryor does not portray the personal story of his siblings. This is also the weak spot of the book (McDonald and Pryor, 2010). But, overall this is an interesting and wonderful book and I heartily appreciate the astonishing efforts of Boori Pryor. I recommend every person to read this book because of it provides loads of insights into the world of Aboriginal culture or society. References McDonald, M. and Pryor, B.M. (2010). Maybe Tomorrow.
